… aka Does Exercise Really Make You Healthier?
The recommended level of weekly activity for adults is:
- at least 2.5 hours moderately OR 1 hour 15 minutes vigorously;
- preferably spread through the week;
- each session should last at least 10 minutes; and
- apparently, if weight loss is a goal, keeping a food diary doubles the amount of weight loss.
For additional benefits,
- 5 hours of moderate intensity physical activity, OR 2.5 hours vigorously, OR some combo of the two
- moderate/high intensity muscle-strengthening exercises working out the entire body at least 2 days a week.
erm. I’m not too ambitious. Reaching recommended activity levels will be a challenge already.
