The supermarket near my place is pretty small, but by Tokyo standards, it’s probably a decent-sized one. I have a dangerous tendency to drop by on the way home (it opens till 12!) and check out what’s on sale. My current excuse is that this prevents me from overbuying food (especially veggies) and wasting it because I don’t use it in time. It’s not true really, in fact, the opposite is probably true… It’s bad for both the wallet *and* the waistline…so I’m trying to stop this bad habit. I think i’ve cut my visits from just about every day to about 4 times a week. What I need to do is have a LIST of what I need to get, based on “urgency”.
Anyway, I like to check out the sale items because it offers me a chance to try out new brands/flavours. (Did someone say “sucker”? :P) So far, it’s mostly been a miss-and-miss affair. I decided to start listing (yay!~) and rating what I’ve tried so that I won’t forget and buy them again cos I’m absent-minded like that.
To keep things simple, the rating system will be:
[rating:3] = love it~
[rating: 2] = not too bad
[rating: 1] = so-so (but why waste money/time/calories)
[rating: 0] = never again.
Is that too simplistic?
Here’s the latest stuff I’ve tried:

Blendy Coffee [rating:0]
Very very very blah. I can’t even say it’s coffee-flavoured milk. I think Meiji’s coffee flavoured milk is better! Gonna have to try 2 sticks per cup today. That’ll help me finish it faster too.

Housefoods Cream Stew cubes [rating: 1]
Hm, am pretty sure I used the right proportion, it’s edible but rather thin and bland.

Housefoods Curry cubes [rating: 0]
Just tried using this yesterday. BLAND – even worse than the cream stew maybe. (and when I say bland, it’s really pretty bad cos I don’t like salty food.)
Like all young deliquents-to-be, you give them a marker and make them sit at the back of the bus, you’ll get one result.
Kitty was here!
ooh i like your identicon.. so pretty!!~
[this is good!] love the food ratings! =]
