Tart Paradise

One of my students, HirokoY, mentioned Qu’il Fait Bon to me last year, and a couple more people did again later, so I reckoned I HAD TO check it out. Especially since they said even on a weekday afternoon, it’s pretty common to have to queue – and true enough, last month, when I finally got round to visiting the cafe, we had to wait about 15 minutes before we got a table. Yesterday, Kryan and I dropped by and lucky us, we didn’t have to wait XD

Last time round, I had the Sweet Potato Tart ([rating:3/3]) which was heavenly – flavourful but light and not overly sweet cream/mousse(?) spread onto a crumbly, melt-in-your-mouth crust with that lovely slightly burnt, dark brown aroma. MMM~

This time, I tried the Bretagne Cream Cheese Tart ([rating:2.5/3]) – also very good…

but I thought Kryan’s Kumamoto Orange Tart ([rating:3/3]) was better. Arghs, it kills me just to look at it.

I love the crust so much, it’s probably possible to just eat it on its own. Have to admit that I overdid it yesterday though, going for tarts after having tonkatsu. *faints* I’ve clearly veered off the “stay healthy” track (not to mention Filet-O-Fish for dinner tonight!!!), time to start paying attention again.
