I knew I’ve been putting this blog on the backburner, but didn’t realise it’s been more than a month since my last update. Time for a list!
Came and went:
- Ann-san was in town for work and fun. We went to DisneySea. Fun I guess, but I doubt I’d go again anytime soon. And we ate alot. Actually, I ate alot and he was just amazed.
- Chee Wee & family invaded the various ~Lands (Sanrio Land, Thomas Land, Disney Land), respect to the parents, between taking care of kids and going to the Lands, I seriously doubt I can survive going to 3 in a week. I reckon kids nowadays are so much smarter and much more articulate than our generation was. Ok, than I was. ^^
- Cherry Blossoms are so beautiful but they disappear way too quickly. The one month or so of breathless anticipation climaxes in a week or so of insane crowds rushing to enjoy the full bloom, endless coverage on the TV, before it all dissipates and life goes back to normal again. I guess it wouldn’t be treasured so much if it had a longer lifespan, but how about 2 weeks :D
I went to Meguro River twice actually… Once on Friday, with my colleague, the tiny Aya-chan.
There were still buds! And so many people even though it was 2 plus on a Friday afternoon…
Love the pale pink petals contrasting with the dark dark wood. I’d love to see the ‘weeping’ kind one day… There’s apparently around 140 kinds of sakura… I wonder if anyone has seen them all. Everyone makes time for sakura, even the dogs :)
The second time I went with Yacchan on Monday, and the petals had already started falling into the river. It was soooo pretty ♥
New things:
- Kids lessons: Believe it or not, I started teaching kids one-on-one, the youngest one so far was 5. I haven’t made anyone cry yet. Yay~ haha. I feel a little sorry that their parents are making them go for one-on-one lessons when they’re so young, group lessons would be so much more fun, so I try to make the lessons fun, but it takes a lot of energy. They seem to enjoy the lessons though. One of the girls (7) added green shit to the bear I drew and was very proud of it. LOL~ poor bear though.
- Soul Realignment Course: Started this course around end February. Yeah, I finally decided I wanted to fully embrace the side of me that’s been into astrology, tarot and the Craft all these years, and train in the intuitive arts. This modality is completely different from those things, yet many ideas and concepts overlap, and when I came upon it, it felt like all my ‘studies’ for the last 14+ years were meant to culminate in this. On top of that, newbies use dowsing as a tool, something that has always been easy for me to tap into, even though I never used it much.
Admittedly, I had some reservations (what if it’s not right for me, what if I can’t do it, what if all my friends laugh and desert me etc). But I asked for signs (as always – when in doubt, look to the Divine ;)) and a regular client showed up with a new silver wristband. It was engraved with the words “Life is a journey toward the guiding light”, so I thought, “Ok, message received, over and out.” and signed up. Not only that, I sent out an intention for this course to be paid for from sources other than my regular teaching income, and it showed up in the form of tax returns. LOL. To think that I’ve only ever PAID tax, and not received returns.
- Lessons: Taught 10 lessons in a row by accident and almost died. Don’t need anymore of this. Had one Wednesday with a record 14 bookings and decent breaks – if I have more of this, I can come in less. :) Such days are really rare though, and the schedule is hard to predict. Tomorrow I only have 4 lessons booked. Ah well. But overall, I’m feeling pleased with myself cos I’ve finally managed to reach a 5-day week. Yatta~
- Cooking: I’ve been cooking more since the financial situation settled down and I managed to stock up the kitchen with sauces and spices beyond salt and pepper, and also rice and noodles etc phew~. The only problem is that I cook only for myself, so sometimes I’m eating the same thing for days. Lately my pattern has been to cook on my off-days and then bring the leftovers to work the next day etc. So today was grilled chicken for lunch, and tonjiro for dinner. YUM~ And I’ll be eating that for at least 3 more meals I reckon. I’m not particular about appearance as you can see hehe.
Ya, so between all that, there hasn’t been much time for updates… I’ll try harder! Ganbarimasu~

I’ve seen dowsing usage before… quite uncanny… I’m not sure what to believe, as it all seems very kooky!! maybe it’s an electromagnetic field thing!?
Well, I’m not a scientist, so I don’t know exactly, but as long as it works for me. :) Personally, I think it has to do with matter and energy fields. Isn’t it possible that there are spectrums/fields etc that we still don’t know about?
