Feeling like one of these kids with electronic attachments in 3 Feet Apart right now… Other than going out for dinner at a nice Taiwanese hotpot restaurant last night, I’ve been stuck to my computer all weekend. Why?…
Evernote([Rating:3/3])!!! I’d known about it from Lifehacker for ages, but somehow I didn’t take to it when I tried it out initially. Now, I’m soooo loving it. With desktop and web AND mobile access, it’s turned my iPhone into the Palm I always wanted but never existed. I can have lists galore, plus photos, web clippings and on and on. It’s an information obsessive-compulsive’s dream! ;)
Evernote is really great for its long term, storage, organizational and tagging (and therefore easy to find) ability, and the multiple points of access is a big plus, but for the short term, my ♥Moleskine♥ still works best – I don’t relish logging into some system every time I need to check what else is on my To Do list. Plus, I’m slightly paranoid about electronics dying on me when I need to get information.
As for the iPhone, it’s so multi-purpose, but I’m liking it most for the communication and tracking tools. My current favourite application is The Habit Factor ([Rating:2.5/3]) which my dotter introduced to me.
It’s fantastic – first, set your goals, then set relevant habits (or not), and tie them together. You can even set on what days you wish to track the habit. Every day, you’ll have a list of all the habits you want to develop, and check them off as you do them, and the app will track them.
I think I love it because habits are a different kind of ‘to-do’ list, which shouldn’t get mixed up with your regular to-do list.. and plus, I’m simply no good at tracking habits myself. My only beef with the app right now is that a habit that I deleted still keeps appearing in the tracking view. Which is irritating. Ah well.
God, I’m such a geek.
I suddenly remembered this movie/song. LOL.
