The End of Summer

It must be a sign of aging that time just flies by so quickly. Can’t quite believe it’s already been 3 weeks since my last update. 3 groups of friends have come and gone. I rearranged my room. Had a bit of retail therapy. Ate myself silly. Did a few readings for friends. Experienced an anti-climatic typhoon which caused students to cancel their lessons, damn. Now I know why restaurant owners complain when the weather is no good, cos English teachers don’t get students either. Bleah.

Anyway, Great Procrastinator that I am, I finally got round to uploading the rest of my Summer Vacation (August! *faints*) photos… here are some of them…

Spotted this horny couple while wandering the streets of Kagoshima…Day 5 - Kagoshima

King of Cats! (and his poor servant cowering in fear…)
I was shocked by the cat’s size. It probably eats chihuahuas for lunch.
Day 6 - Kagoshima

And here I thought I was done with climbing after leaving Yakushima.
Day 7 - Miyazaki - 13

The Devil’s Washboard along the Miyazaki Coast. I love these names!
Day 7 - Miyazaki

Train Station Cuteness
Day 8 - Beppu

Deceptively lovely. The steam could cook your lobster for you :)
Day 8 - Beppu

And so that was the summer break. Now the temperature’s half of what it was then! Brrr~ Japan is so beautiful (like I needed to say that..), I’d love to explore it from end-to-end but domestic travel is just soooo expensive, especially during peak periods. This trip really burnt a hole in my bank account. But then again, there are experiences money just can’t buy. And this was worth every single hard-earned yen :)
